Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Manager

The Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Manager is responsible for leading our efforts in sustainability and responsible business practices. The ESG Manager will be responsible for developing and executing ESG strategies, initiatives, and reporting, focusing on environmental and social performance improvements while considering our specific business context.

ESG Strategy Development:

  • Lead the creation of an ESG strategy that aligns with our goals and values, concentrating on practical initiatives with a meaningful impact.
  • Identify and prioritise ESG areas most relevant to our industry, size, and stakeholder expectations.

 

StakeholderEngagement:

  • Build relationships with stakeholders relevant to our business, such as local communities, customers, and suppliers.
  • Communicate our ESG efforts and progress in a way that resonates with our stakeholders' interests and values.

 

Sustainability Initiatives:

  • Design and implement pragmatic sustainability initiatives tailored to our operations, considering resource efficiency, waste reduction, and localised environmental impacts.
  • Explore opportunities for community engagement and support that align with our resources and capabilities.

 

Data Collection and Reporting:

  • Collect and analyse ESG data, producing concise and informative reports and proposals (business cases) suitable for internal and external sharing.
  • Stay updated on simplified ESG reporting frameworks and standards suitable for our business context.

 

Employee Engagement:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to foster employee understanding and participation in our ESG initiatives, cultivating a shared commitment to sustainability.

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 3 years of experience in ESGmanagement, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, or similar roles.
  • Familiarity with ESG principles and their applicability to small and medium-sized enterprises.
  • Strong communication skills to engage stakeholders and convey ESG efforts effectively.
  • Ability to analyse data, draw insights and prepare proposals that inform decision-making.
  • Project management abilities to execute ESG projects within resource constraints.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Collaboration skills to work across departments and drive ESG improvements.

 

THE PACKAGE

In return we offer a competitive salary and a performance-related bonus based on personal objectives that pays up to 5% of your salary annually, study support and the chance to progress in a rapidly growing company.

We have recently introduced a new flexible working policy; it currently allows employees (following a probationary period) to work from home one day a week (if their work can be done from home) and also to work longer hours during the week and finish early on a Friday.
